You're just out for a little walk in the woods to clear your head. Dusk is beginning to settle in and you decide you better get back inside before it gets too cold. The thought of dinner and warm food invades your mind. You can even smell the baked potatoes and vegetables you plan to cook later that evening. You're still a ways away from civilization when you hear a crunch in the leaves that doesn't belong to you. Suddenly realizing that walking in the woods after watching those internet videos was a bad idea, you decide that running would probably be a good course of action.

Your footfalls echo in your ears as you try to reason with yourself. It's just a small animal. A rock falling. I'm running from nothing. Nothing's wrong. Everything's Fine. You hear the echoes of sirens and the hair that was prickling on the back of your neck finally stands on end. You're still too far away from your home and you're beginning to see the same thing everywhere you look. Something catches your eye during mid-panic and against your best judgment you stop to get a better look. That Suit. In mere seconds you're dashing toward your home again, but you can't seem to get closer, all the trees look the same. But it's different now. Behind every familiar tree, He is there.

Oh God, please. Nothing's Wrong. Please, please. Everything's Fine. You gasp for breath and there's a pain in your lungs. You can't keep this up, and you even wonder whether you're running away or toward it. You take sharp, random turns. You aren't even going toward your home anymore. He's still there, nothing helps. A panicked sob wrenches in your throat and your vision blurs. Icy chills of fear attack your body. You don't even see the large branch protruding from the fallen tree. The branch knocks out both of your legs at once, a scream escapes you, and there is a piercing pain in your left shoulder when you hit the ground. Your vision won't correct itself but you can see the large shadow engulf your figure. You don't want to turn around, but you know you can't run away.

Your body relaxes and a strange sensation flutters in the back of your mind. The fear disappears, replaced by a wonderful sensation of calm. Nothing's wrong, everything's fine. Just..fiiinneee. Your vision won't straighten, but you suddenly have the urge to look at your pursuer first hand. You don't feel pain like you should when you turn. He is even taller than you imagined. His form completely encompasses your vision, multiple limbs curling and winding toward you. You can hear, more than feel, something crack as your voice echoes in the back of your mind. Nothing's wrong. Don't move. Don't speak. Stay still. Look at me. Loook attt me. NoTHing'S WronG, Ev3rY Th1Ng'5 F111INN3EExxxx

I don't write in second person all that often, but I think this one turned out rather well. It's a lot easier to maintain when writing flash fiction. :)

I LOVE THIS.
I especially love the ending, the idea that you get filled with this sort of euphoria before He wins over you. That's a really great concept! Awesome writeup :)
